hoping

It's weird. I don't even remember last week when I was pregnant. When I was looking ahead to a big change in my life.

Now that change is over and I'm back to where I was before.

I'm not going to pretend that an early miscarriage like I had is anywhere as devastating as a later-term pregnancy/stillborn. It happened and it is over. I'm ok, I really am. I only had what, a week, where I thought I was pregnant? It's fine. Supposedly 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, so it's perfectly normal really. And really, it's not exactly the best timing in our life to be pregnant anyways.

But it also weird how it was over right as it began. And since I had started getting used to the idea, I kind of want it to be real. I really do want to have another child. I want my life, our lives, to work out and be settled and happy.

It has been such a tough several months for us. I don't yet see an end in sight. My dad lent us money to make it through the summer. It was hard to accept the money, but we desperately needed it, so I did.

I want another child. I want C to be a big sister. I want to be pregnant again, and though it might sound weird to many, I want to give birth again. I think about my labor/birth with C a lot. It really changed me. It was a challenge unlike any I'd ever gone though before. It also gave me a confidence like I've never had before.

A strange part of me feels like I'll be very lucky this next cycle and I'll conceive again right away. Or maybe that's just a hope.

Even though I was only pregnant for a little over a week, I feel like I should still be pregnant, and so I think that maybe I'm just on a short break right now and will be pregnant again soon, like I should be now.

I hope life works out for us one day.
