why i don't want to be rich or famous

ok, so i have absolutely no internet time. i really don't. but i wish i could document this experience better, 'cause i feel like it's somethng i should document.

you know how when we're little and you want to be rich and famous when we grow up? well, since i've been dealing with and observing these two famous rich girls the past few weeks, i no longer have any desire to be rich or famous. i think it'd be a sad existance.

how you you ever appreciate anything if you never knew what it was like to do without it? and if you always had people do things for you, it'd almost create a sort of realiance on others and you'd be helpless to ever be truly on your own. and what would it be like to have to live your whole life as if you were a character in a movie? you'd have to constantly be who everyone thinks you are, and people are only going to think about you from what they've seen about you. and that would create huge pressure on how you portray yourself. in a sense, you would never really be anyone, you simply be playing a part your whole life. i think it'd be a sad, empty life.

imagine everyday knowing people were watching you, papazzri were waiting to take pictures of even your very worst moments to paste in every supermarket line...imagine never really meeting someone who didn't already know who you were...

it is interesting being this close to all this though. i was at wal-mart the other day and flipping through the tabloids and there was a whole page about paris and nicole and simple life 2. and it's just really, really weird to know that press knows that we're out there taping this thing. and, i mean, i'm a no body. imagine how much weirder it would be if i was someone and all these press/paparazzi people were after ME.

it's just be weird. and i now have absolutely no desire to ever be rich or famous.

First-Year Teacher
